About The Jim Jim Falls Tour
On arriving at the falls, there is a short easy walk to the edge of the escarpment with a magnificent view. The 200m high gorge is a sight to be seen but choose your timing as the flow can vary throughout the year.
Here, there is a white sandy beach to relax, and a beautiful shallow freshwater pool where you can take a refreshing dip.
For the adventurous, there is the option to continue further with some rock climbing involved to get you to the main plunge pool above. We rate the level of difficulty an 8/10.
After swimming, we will take you for a short drive to a picturesque location for lunch.
Your tour includes fully guided commentary along the way, on the flora, fauna, and indigenous history.
Jim Jim Falls is about an 8/10 difficulty, so it does suit a good level of fitness. There are uneven surfaces and boulder climbing involved. We do not recommend this 2km walk for anyone with knee, hip, or similar problems. If there is a struggle towards the gorge, there is a relaxing spot 300mt in, where you can sit and wait till the other guests return. You can see the 200mt high fall area from this point. Remember the further you go, if struggling, the more you must walk back. So don’t push your limits.
Food & Refreshments for The Tour
Lunch includes BBQ chicken, potato, fresh garden salads, fruit juice, tea and coffee. Iced water is supplied to refill your water bottles. Fresh fruit is supplied for morning snacks.
If you have any dietary requirements, please kindly advise us at least 48 hours prior to the tour.
