There is talk about Gunlom reopening in May 2025
Once open, there is an 80mt high waterfall at the lower Plunge pool, great for the elderly and kids, as the white beach slowly goes from ankle deep to very deep. For the fit, you will have to climb a lot of stairs to get to the top pools, with an infinity pool that everybody talks about.

Your tour price does not include a Kakadu Park Pass and you are required to purchase this for yourself or your tour yourself before the tour. The pass must reflect the dates you are travelling whilst in Kakadu and rangers may ask to see this at random locations.
Itinerary
Ideally, our guests will go to the top pools first, then an early lunch at the grassy picnic area, and then finish the day at the lower plunge pool.
Arriving at Gunlom @ 9 am
Top Pools till 11 am
Lunch 11:30
Plunge Pool till 1:30 pm
This will give you plenty of time for swimming before we have our 1.5 to 2hour drive back to your accommodation

What to bring

For a comfortable and enjoyable experience, bring comfortable walking shoes, a hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, plenty of water (min 1 Liter bottle p/p to be refilled), swimwear, and a camera to capture the stunning scenery.

Is Gunlom open yet?
The waterfall has been closed to tourists since 2019 after a sacred men's site was damaged during the construction of a walkway.
What's next?
Traditional custodians say the popular site in the Northern Territory's Kakadu National Park will reopen to tourists in 2025
