Climb up to the Gunlom Falls plunge pool – an unforgettable natural infinity pool with views for miles across Kakadu.
After a short, steep climb up the escarpment, you’ll be rewarded with a great view of the southern hill and ridges. Another 100 metres along the track brings you to a series of rock pools and a small waterfall.
After changing in one of the many shady spots, take a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear water. You might also want to capture that perfect photo of yourself sitting in the infinity pool at the edge of the falls.
Please be cautious while walking around the pools above the falls as the polished rock can be extremely slippery when wet.
Back in the picnic area you can use the free gas barbecues to cook up some lunch or take a two-minute walk through the paperbarks to a beach and another amazing plunge pool.
